December 10th the San Ysidro Health Clinic located next to the San Diego/ Tijuana border is hosting an event called the Zapatón. This is a holiday event where we provide shoes and backpacks for our local families. The main objective of the event is to vaccinate children against covid and the flu. However, while the children are in line we promote child literacy and reading. We try to give each family one book per child at an age-appropriate level. We would love new books but used books would be wonderful too. Please drop off books or call us by November 15th!
